Allan S. Ghitterman, Esq.

Alan Ghitterman

Allan has been practicing as an attorney since 1956 and specializing in worker's compensation law in the Tri-Counties since 1959. He has been a certified specialist in worker's compensation since 1973. Helping people recover worker's compensation benefits has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life.

For 60 years, he has been working towards improving the working person's life, and the sense of accomplishment in helping people who need assistance has been immeasurable. In his time, he has seen good things and bad about the worker's compensation system, but through it all was his hope that each injured worker would be treated with dignity and respect. He practices that philosophy each and every day.

Russell R. Ghitterman, Esq.

Russell Ghitterman Russell began practicing civil litigation in 1986 and moved to Santa Barbara in 1990, where he opened his own practice. Since 1997, he has been zealously representing injured workers before the Worker's Compensation Appeals Board, in addition to successfully handing high value Personal Injury claims and County Disability retirement claims.
Russell is a Board Certified Worker's Compensation Specialist and an AV rated attorney, the highest rating recognized by the peer review publication, Martindale-Hubbell. For the last 10 years, he has been identified as a leader in the workers' compensation field by his colleagues and several peer review publications such as Super Lawyers and Top Attorneys of Southern California. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court and he has appeared numerous times before the California Courts of Appeal and has argued twice before the California Supreme Court.
He is privileged to be working with his father, Allan S. Ghitterman. They laugh, argue, and eat lunch together. His father is his mentor and hero. Russell hopes to continue practicing law with his father for many years to come. Along with his long-time spouse, Julie Harris, they are the proud parents of his two sons, Benjamin and Avi.

Benjamin P. Feld, Esq.

Ben Field Benjamin P. Feld is a law partner with the firm Ghitterman, Ghitterman & Feld. Mr. Feld has been representing injured workers since 2002, providing his expertise in the areas of Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability and third party litigation services. His work has led not only to successful outcomes for his clients, but also citable appellate precedent.
A graduate of the Santa Barbara College of Law, Mr. Feld has remained an active alumni with the campus. Mr. Feld is also a member of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association, the educational and policy group for workers' compensation attorneys representing the disabled. In addition, Mr. Feld has an extensive business background. Before practicing law, Mr. Feld was a local business owner and employer for 10 years dealing hands on with many of the issues facing both employers and employees in the workplace.
Personally, Mr. Feld is kept very busy with his family, which includes his wife Rhonda Henderson and their five children. When not involved in school and extracurricular activities, Mr. Feld enjoys running on our local beaches, paths and races, traveling and enjoying relaxing moments with his extensive family.


Megan E. Compton, Esq.

Megan Compton

Megan Ellestad Compton has been a member of the Ghitterman, Ghitterman & Feld team since 2006. Admitted to the Bar in 2012, she is a graduate of the Santa Barbara College of Law and also holds a B.S. in Horticultural Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Ms. Compton is fluent in Spanish.

Crystal C. Forsher, Esq.

Crystal Forsher

Crystal C. Forsher attended Loyola Marymount University majoring in Business Law and minoring in Spanish. Upon graduating LMU, Crystal started her legal career as a case worker at an employment law firm in Los Angeles for four years that specialized in workers' compensation cases before deciding to move back home to Santa Barbara County. Here she attended law school at the Santa Barbara College of Law, graduating in 2012. She remains an active alumni serving on their Bar Panel.

Crystal is also an active member of the Santa Barbara Barristers, the American Bar Association, Santa Barbara Women Lawyers, California Women Lawyers, and the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, and enjoys her extra time volunteering for the Santa Barbara County Public Defender's office. She is also on the Executive Board for the Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association, the Santa Barbara County Bar Foundation and the Central Coast Chapter of the California Applicants Attorney Association. She is also on the Advisory Board of the San Luis Obispo College of Law. In addition to the above she is also on the Teachers Advisory Committee for the Center for Employment Training in Santa Maria.

On the weekends she enjoys spending time wine tasting in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley she calls home with her husband, Michael and their puppy Theodore. Crystal joined Ghitterman, Ghitterman & Feld as an attorney in 2014 returning to her workers' compensation roots where she enjoys helping employees in need of representation. She is also bi-lingual and the managing attorney of our Santa Maria office.

Jan E. Kaestner, Esq.Jan Kaestner

Mr. Kaestner joined Ghitterman, Ghitterman & Feld in 2015. He brings with him a wealth of experience, representing clients in personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents and injuries, dog bites, slip and fall, products liability, misdemeanor and felony criminal defense and wills, trusts and estate issues. In addition to his breadth of civil litigation expertise, since joining GG&F, Jan has created a niche defending injured workers in workers compensation fraud charges with great success. In 1994 Jan graduated from the Santa Barbara College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Kaestner worked for many years as a general contractor serving the Santa Barbara area. Outside of the courtroom he enjoys golfing, vacationing by the lake and spending time with his family.


Amando Di Filippo

Amando Di Filippo

Armando Di Filippo has been with GG&F since 2002. A native of Chile, he is pleased to use his bilingual skill in order to reach a wide range of clients. Additionally, Mr. Di Filippo incorporates his communication and negotiation training and skills in his quest to achieve the best results possible for his clients. Mr. Di Filippo's main areas of focus are Workers' Compensation and Employment Law.

A graduate of Law School in his native Chile, he has also earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of San Francisco School of Law. In addition, he holds a Certificate in Negotiation and Mediation From the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Personally, Armando enjoys live music, riding his bike, cooking and traveling with his wife, Heidi.

Candy De Loera

Candy DeLoera

Candy De Loera works as a Hearing Representative in our firm, assisting clients and attorneys in discovery, at hearings and facilitating settlement negotiations. She has worked in the field of Workers' Compensation since 2002 with the Ghitterman firm assigned to case management responsibilities where she learned the nuts and bolts of the California Workers' Compensation system. Ms. De Loera then worked as a claims analyst in the workers' compensation claims department at Select Staffing. She was later promoted to the position of legal analyst which involved assigning legal counsel, performing background investigations, and valuing cases for settlement. Candy returned to Ghitterman firm in 2011 bringing with her over 12 years of experience working with injured workers.

Erika Martin del Campo

Erika C. Martin del Campo graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Dual Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Spanish. Upon graduation, Erika took on the role of Community Education Coordinator at the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center where she had previously interned throughout high school and college. During her time, the agency was awarded the 2013 Youth Agency of the Year as a result of her work.

Erika joined the GGF family in 2013 as she embarked on her first year of law school. Since then, Erika has worked in the position of caseworker, senior caseworker, became the firm's first paralegal, and is now a hearing representative. A recent graduate of Santa Barbara College of Law, she received certificates of concentration in Family, Real Property, Business, and Criminal Law. While at SBCOL, Erika founded the Latino Law Students Association, was an active member of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, the William L. Gordon Inn of Court, and lead the Student Bar Association.

Erika was the recipient of the Santa Barbara Women Lawyers' Judge William McLafferty Scholarship, as well as the Allan S. Ghitterman Education Scholarship. She is a member of both Sigma Delta Mu and Sigma Delta Pi honor societies.

As a past Spirit of Fiesta, Erika is an active participant of the yearly Old Spanish Days' celebration. In her spare time, she is also the director of ME Sabor Dance Company with her partner, Marco and teaches local salsa classes.


Sophia E. Lozada

Sophia Lozada

Sophia joined Ghitterman, Ghitterman & Feld in 2012. She worked as a caseworker before stepping into her current role as Firm Administrator. Her primary responsibilities include office management, human resources, training new and existing employees, and meeting with prospective clients.

Before joining the firm, Sophia received her B.A. in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College. Her studies included a six month sojourn in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she studied social movements and human rights. As Firm Administrator she aims to leverage her ability to communicate across cultures and examine issues from multiple standpoints to provide a positive contribution to the firm.

Her favorite hobbies include running on the beach, hiking in the Santa Barbara foothills, and traveling anywhere, everywhere, anytime.
